This fuss-free apartment is perfect for practical travellers. It's right near Santa Maria Novella station, so if you're arriving by train, you won't have to venture far. The design is a little simple, but we love the traditional wooden ceilings and terracotta floors. Just note that it's on the second floor of a walk-up building, and at full capacity, two guests will sleep on a sofa bed. When you're ready to start sightseeing, you'll find all the attractions within walking distance, from the red-domed Duomo to the art-filled Uffizi Galleries.

Home truths
At full capacity, two guests will sleep on a sofa bed in the living area.
The double bedroom is divided from the single room by a sliding wall.
This apartment is on the second floor of a building without a lift. You'll need to climb stairs to reach it.
If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a travel cot and babysitting recommendations upon request.
While air conditioning is a nice touch, it does get a little loud.
As is common in European homes, the shower is a little tight.

Though Santa Maria Novella is not directly in the middle...

Host
This home is managed by Gaetano
This home is managed by a business on behalf of its owner. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Gaetano and his team have a handful of places in Italy that they’re responsible for, and we’re big fans. It’s worth noting that it might not be Gaetano himself who checks you in, but the rest of the team are all really nice as well.
