This stylish apartment is the perfect base for exploring Paris's most historic neighbourhoods. In the heart of Faubourg Saint-Antoine, you're a short walk from the Bastille and Place de la Nation, while nearby metro stations connect you to the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower. Although snug, this home benefits from vibrant splashes of colour and lots of light – open the French doors for street views. Plus, if attic living starts to feel cramped, walk to Jardin des Plantes or Père Lachaise Cemetery to get some fresh air. There are so many restaurants in the area you'll be loath to cook at home, but if you do, nearby Bastille Market is the place to get supplies.
