Sitting at the foot of Edinburgh Castle, if this apartment isn’t the definition of a central setting, we don't know what is. You'll find it off the vibrant Grassmarket, an easy walk to historic Old Town and Princes Street Gardens. Shops, restaurants, pubs, landmarks – you name it, chances are you can reach it on foot. Back home, the design is more modern, but it still feels cosy. The kitchen is well-equipped for home cooking, while the living area features a sofa bed – just note the fee for linens. Even without castle views, we think it's a comfortable, practical option in an unbelievable location.

Home truths

At full capacity, two guests will sleep on a sofa bed in the living area. The bed is a little small, so we think it’s best for one adult or two children sharing.

There aren’t any views of the castle from the apartment.

You won’t need a car in this central location. Getting around on foot is easy, as you’ll find plenty to see and do within walking distance. Local buses also operate in the area.
