Set behind a traditional tiled façade in the heart of Alfama, this elegant one-bedroom apartment pairs 19th-century charm with crisp, contemporary design. High decorative ceilings and tall windows flood the space with Lisbon light, while Nordic and Portuguese-inspired furnishings create a calm, curated feel. Kitchens and bathrooms finished in Estremoz marble add a quiet sense of luxury. The real highlight? A generous private patio – a rare find in this part of the city – perfect for morning coffee, evening wine, or a quiet moment away from the buzz. Just steps from Lisbon Cathedral and within walking distance of the riverfront and São Jorge Castle, it’s an atmospheric base for soaking up the city’s history, viewpoints, and fado-filled nights.

Local guide

About Alfama

As Lisbon’s oldest neighbourhood, it’s not surprising that Alfama is also the corner of the city with the most character. Here, you’ll get an authentic taste of the real Portugal, away from the tourist-trodden trails of the centre. Unlike most of Lisbon, this area survived the famous 1755 earthquake, preserving an image of the old capital. Steep, cobbled streets are flanked with down-to-earth cafés, crumbling churches and intimate fado venues...
