The interiors of this authentic Valle d'Itria trullo are faultless, but the best bit is that private pool and sun-soaked terrace waiting outside. With views of olive groves and the valley beyond, it’s a sublime spot to hit rest and reset. It’s worth noting that a home of this heritage does come with its quirks. Ceilings and doorways are low in places, but everywhere else is bang up to date, including a made-for-action kitchen. When you’re in the mood for a change of scene, you’ll need a car to explore. For day trips, head for the enchanting cities of Alberobello and Locorotondo – all of Apulia's best bits, including the coast, are just a short drive away.
