With its sunny swimming pool, gorgeous views, and country charm, we think you’ll love life in this Umbrian villa. There are shady terraces to relax with a book or enjoy a leisurely lunch, cosy and characterful rooms, and a farmhouse kitchen for turning regional fare into an Italian feast. The main house has four double bedrooms, and if eight or more of you are staying, you’ll also have access to a separate converted barn and cottage where there are two extra bedrooms. As for amenities, nearby Città della Pieve has restaurants and bars for entertaining evenings, and you’ll also be in one of the best spots for sampling local wines at one of the area’s prestigious wineries.

Home truths

While not all the bathrooms are photographed, expect the style and quality to be consistent with the rest of the home.

The accommodation here is split over the main house, which has four double bedrooms, a separate converted barn with a double bedroom, and a two-storey cottage with a double bedroom.

If your booking is for eight people or less, you'll only have access to the main villa and the barn and cottage will be off limits.

If you're staying for seven nights or more, a free mid-week clean and towel and linen change is included.

If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. You'll need to request them in advance.

The swimming pool isn't fenced. If you're bringing little ones, they'll need to be supervised at all times.

Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay.

While its urban areas offer Medieval architecture, charming piazzas and excellent restaurants aplenty, it’s the countryside for which you really visit Umbria. The region...
