Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
Located in a historic neighbourhood and a popular spot for foodies, this character-filled apartment makes a great city base. Filled with books, artwork and well-loved antique furniture, this colourful home abides by the "more is more" philosophy. Our favourite room is the kitchen, which dates from the 1950s and reflects the era in which the neighbourhood developed. There's also the private rooftop terrace, where you can look out over the Roman rooftops with a glass of wine in hand. Bars, restaurants and the famous local food market are all on your doorstep.

About Testaccio
Testaccio is built on food, or rather, food containers. Founded in first century BC as a river port, it was where Rome's supplies of olive oil, grain and wine arrived into the city. Everything was transported in terracotta amphorae, which were smashed on arrival and discarded. Centuries of this practice created a vast mound of terracotta fragments – the Monte dei Cocci – which has become the district's defining feature....
