Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
Climb the five flights of stairs to this top-floor apartment, and you'll be rewarded with panoramic views of the terracotta roofs of Florence. On the north side, you may not get the sun, but there's a picture-perfect view of the dome of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, while the southern balcony is the perfect spot for a morning coffee. In the bright living space, antique furniture and the exposed wooden ceiling add character, and the farmhouse-style kitchen is handy for meals at home (the thought of those stairs might tempt you to stay in). But if you can bear to leave the rooftop views, you'll find iconic sights, including the Uffizi Gallery and Palazzo Vecchio, are on your doorstep.

About Santa Croce
Santa Croce is a trendy, architecturally impressive neighbourhood that’s less busy than the Duomo or San Marco districts, but still in the heart of Florence. Home to the eponymous basilica, and the Casa Buonarroti museum, it’s located in the eastern part of Florence’s historic centre. The largest crowds have thinned out by this point, but if you stay here, you're still close enough to explore the whole city on foot....
