Set in the quiet Arkadi hills, this is a modern, well-put-together villa that works nicely for families or small groups. Inside, the layout is practical rather than flashy, spread across three floors, with air conditioning throughout. From here, you can stroll to a local taverna and mini-market, but a car is useful for beach days and trips into Rethymno. Speaking of which, the old town, harbour and Fortezza are just a short drive away, with Platanes Beach even closer for easy swims and low-key lunches.
