On a picturesque residential road in Chelsea, this three-storey apartment is in the perfect location for a West London retreat. The terrace has just enough space for alfresco dining, and the leafy views over Brompton Cemetery are rare in such a central spot (though, on match days, the proximity to Stamford Bridge might disturb the quiet). Bedrooms are spread over two floors, and while that means navigating lots of stairs, it also provides more privacy for guests. It's about a thirty-minute walk to sights like Holland Park and the Saatchi Gallery, but from nearby Earl's Court tube station, you can be in central London in no time.
