This sprawling Tuscan estate dates back to the 1500s and was once the summer home of the Pisan Conti Rosselmini family. Today, it retains its old-world charm with exposed beams, stone floors, and floral-patterned bedspreads. Following tradition, there’s no air conditioning, but plenty of windows and fans keep things comfortable during the warmer months. Bedrooms are spread across nine apartments in the main house and two independent farmhouses. There are two pools to choose from, a chapel with hand-painted frescoes, and gardens to wander. As for the location, the charming village of Calci is within strolling distance while Pisa is just 10 kilometres away.

About Pisa

Perhaps best known for a certain askew tower, there’s plenty more to Pisa than architecture gone awry. Thanks to the prime position on the River Arno close to the Ligurian Sea, there’s a long history of maritime activity in the region and the city became a major economic player between the eleventh and thirteenth centuries.
