Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
See a more serene side of Roman life when you stay at this apartment near the secluded suburb of Aurelio. It’s a little off the beaten track, yet still has easy transport links to the rest of Rome. And it’s close to the Vatican City, where bucket list landmarks like Saint Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel await. Great location aside, this home offers ample room for a family or group getaway, with the added bonus of not one, but two outdoor spaces – a terrace and a balcony. Gather on either for pre-dinner drinks, then head out to indulge in Italian fare nearby (or cook up your own feast in the well-appointed kitchen).

Local guide
About Aurelio
Despite its proximity to the Vatican, Aurelio is still often overlooked by Romans and tourists alike, only mentioned as the butt of the joke. However, it has more to offer than most would believe. A bustling residential district, it has plenty of local haunts with the clientele spilling out onto the street, as well as several green squares and a Russian Orthodox church, Santa Caterina Martire. It’s worth noting that some parts can be hard to reach, even with public transport, and it becomes less prepossessing as you head further north or west.
