A converted barn sitting at the meeting point of Wales, Cheshire, and Shropshire, this house is built for groups who want both comfort and a reason to get competitive. The indoor sports hall – with a full-size tennis court, football goals, badminton, and basketball – means the fun isn't weather-dependent. Outside, a stone terrace with climbing roses is made for long alfresco dinners, while the barbecue area opens onto uninterrupted views across to the Welsh hills. When the day winds down, a log burner and a dedicated bar area make sure evenings are just as good.

Home truths
For those with reduced mobility, there's a ground floor bedroom and bathroom here.
One of the super-king bedrooms can be split into twin beds if you'd prefer that layout – let your host know before arrival so it's ready when you get there.
One of the bedrooms has a single-over-double bunk bed that can sleep up to three people – we think it might be best suited to children.
The indoor tennis court is available from 9am to 12pm each day. If you'd like extra court time, your host can often arrange it – just ask in advance.
You'll need a car here to make the most of your stay. Parking for up to ten cars is available on site – plenty of room for a big group arriving in multiple vehicles.
