You don't come across a home like this every day. Inspired by Gaudí's topsy-turvy architecture, this place in Santa Barbara is truly a work of art. We can see why it's been featured in publications like Dwell and the New York Times, with its saltwater pool, whale-shaped exterior, and whimsical design that feels like a fairytale come to life. Here, the emphasis is on relaxation. In the main bedroom, you can roll out of bed and head straight to the hot tub, or pad down to the hand-carved sauna. There's also an annexe bedroom for added privacy. Outside, the landscape grounds lead directly to the Santa Barbara Botanical Gardens. The beach and downtown are within driving distance, too – putting you a stone's throw from all Santa Barbara has to offer.

Home truths
This home is split between the main house and an annexe. The annexe has a bedroom with a king-sized bed and a lofted single bed, a bathroom, and a kitchenette. It isn't photographed, but expect the quality and style to be consistent with the rest of the home.
The main bedroom is on the mezzanine level and semi-open to the living space below, so privacy is limited. The hot tub is in this room and fits two to four people snuggly.
There are stairs everywhere you turn here, so it won't be the best option for those with limited mobility.
Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay. There's parking available on-site.
Kindly note that there is a creek and multiple ponds in the landscaped garden.
Mission Canyon Road is across the creek. It's far enough away not to be a nuisance, but at certain times of the day, you will hear vehicles.
