Ever wondered what it would be like to stay inside a museum? This apartment offers something close. Set within a grand historic building, the soaring ceilings and walls are adorned with hand-painted frescos, while the furniture is designed by icons of Italian design. The main bedroom features a large walk-in closet and opens onto a private balcony overlooking a leafy courtyard – the perfect spot for a quiet evening drink. If we're being picky, the fourth bedroom is snug for two adults, but it's hard to beat this setting or location. The Borgo la Croce neighbourhood has a tranquil, local feel, dotted with artisanal shops and restaurants, while still being within strolling distance of the Arno and the Duomo.

About Santa Croce

Santa Croce is a trendy, architecturally impressive neighbourhood that’s less busy than the Duomo or San Marco districts, but still in the heart of Florence. Home to the eponymous basilica, and the Casa Buonarroti museum, it’s located in the eastern part of Florence’s historic centre. The largest crowds have thinned out by this point, but if you stay here, you're still close enough to explore the whole city on foot....
