A converted Cotswold mill at the heart of Bibury is rare, and this one makes its history known – the original wooden milling wheel sits in the living and dining space, framing meals beneath centuries-old beams and beside a wood-burning stove. The four-poster main bedroom adds a quieter, more indulgent note, with a freestanding bath in the en-suite for good measure. Up in the eaves, a twin bedroom sits beneath A-frame timber framing with views over the neighbouring trout farm. Outside, a walled stone terrace with a barbecue overlooks the same. Bibury's pubs, cafes, and picturesque Arlington Row are all a short walk away.

Home truths
The twin beds in the top-floor bedroom can be pushed together to make a king-size if the host is notified 7 days in advance.
Wi-fi can be patchy on the upper floors. The signal is strongest on the first floor where a booster is installed.
Please note that Bamford products are provided for in-house use only.
Your host can provide a cot and high chair for little ones upon request – just bring your own cot linen.
You'll have space for up to five cars in the private parking area – handy given how rural the village is.
The mill stream running alongside the terrace is deep and fast-flowing, so keep a close eye on young children and dogs whenever you're outside.
You'll need to bring your own charcoal for the barbecue. Logs for the wood-burning stove are provided at the start of your stay between 1st October and 31st March.
Given the location next to a trout farm with open fishing ponds, you'll notice insects outside.
