Set directly on Northstar’s Home Run Trail, this is as close to true ski-in/ski-out as it gets. Step outside, clip in, and you’re on the mountain in minutes – then ski straight back for lunch or a soak in the private hot tub. Inside, practical touches include ski storage, a boot dryer and flexible sleeping across four bedrooms, including two primary suites. You’ll also have access to the nearby Tree House amenity complex, with a heated pool, fitness centre, games room and seasonal door-to-door ski shuttle. Dog-friendly, calm and mid-mountain, this hideaway is best suited to families or groups focused on slope time and downtime, rather than nightlife.

Quiet hours are 9pm – 8am, every day – this is a residential area, and the rules are enforced.
Outdoor firepits and fireplaces can’t be used, even if shown in photos, due to local wildfire regulations.
Barbecues and outdoor furniture are seasonal and weather-dependent, so we can’t guarantee availability.
Although the home comes with wi-fi, the internet speed in the mountains will be slower than in an urban setting.

On the border of California and Nevada, Lake Tahoe is one of the largest bodies of water in the US. As you'd expect, it's an area of astounding beauty, but the lake has also made a name for itself as a centre for both winter sports and water sports, as well as hiking and cycling. The north shore is a bit quieter and more relaxed than the south. While there's still plenty to do (including the annual food and wine festival), you're unlikely to see crowds like you do in other parts of the region.
