In the heart of the understated Puglian town of Nardò, this 17th-century courtyard home couldn’t be more enviable. It’s all in the subtle details, striking a fine balance between characterful and refined. Whitewashed and earthy, you’ll want to settle in here – whether in the citrus garden, on the roof terrace, or in bed with a coffee and the French doors wide open as the breeze drifts through. It’s perfect for a group, with four bedrooms each with their own ensuite, giving everyone space to recharge. And while there’s plenty to explore in Nardò itself, with the sun-kissed Salento region at your feet, it’ll be hard to stay put.

Home truths
While the the third bathroom isn’t photographed, expect the style and quality to be consistent with the rest of the home.
Parking can be tricky, as the home is in the historic centre’s limited traffic zone. Your host can register your car for 30 minutes on arrival and departure – otherwise, you’ll need to park outside the old town.
If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. You'll need to request them in advance.
One of the bedrooms has a small double bed, which may be better suited to two children or one adult. We’d recommend a maximum guest count of seven adults.
