Inside, soaring ceilings and a statement stone hearth give the living space a warm, contemporary lodge feel. Large windows pull in the light and the views, keeping the outdoors in focus year-round. Location-wise, it’s hard to beat. You’re just minutes from the slopes at Northstar California Resort, a short drive from the shops and restaurants of Truckee, and well-placed for hiking, biking and lake days around Tahoe. During golf season, you’ll even have a front-row setting for the Barracuda Championship.

Home truths
This home sits directly on the 13th fairway of the Old Greenwood, so you may see (and occasionally hear) golfers passing by during the season.
A car is essential here, especially in winter, as you’re a short drive from ski resorts, shops and restaurants in Truckee.
In snowy months, 4WD or snow chains are strongly recommended, and driveway conditions can vary depending on weather.
There is parking for up to four vehicles (two in the garage and two on the driveway).
As with many mountain homes, wildlife sightings are possible – it’s important to store food securely and follow local guidance.
Firewood is not provided. If you plan to use the indoor fireplace, you’ll need to purchase wood locally before or during your stay.
The use of any outdoor firepit or outdoor fireplace is strictly prohibited due to wildfire risk.

About Truckee
On the border of California and Nevada, Lake Tahoe is one of the largest bodies of water in the US. As you'd expect, it's an area of astounding beauty, but the lake has also made a name for itself as a centre for both winter sports and water sports, as well as hiking and cycling.
