Light-filled, open-plan spaces spill out onto multiple decks, while a lower-level games room and bunk setup keep groups of all ages entertained. Trails, the Adventure Centre and Nordic ski tracks sit moments from the door, with pools, golf and a private lake beach adding year-round appeal. Northstar and Palisades Tahoe are close for ski days, and Downtown Truckee’s restaurants, shops and live music are an easy drive — a relaxed, well-placed base for every season.

About Truckee
On the border of California and Nevada, Lake Tahoe is one of the largest bodies of water in the US. As you'd expect, it's an area of astounding beauty, but the lake has also made a name for itself as a centre for both winter sports and water sports, as well as hiking and cycling. The north shore is a bit quieter and more relaxed than the south. While there's still plenty to do (including the annual food and wine festival), you're unlikely to see crowds like you do in other parts of the region.
