For outdoors enthusiasts or those wanting to reconnect with nature, this lodge isn't be passed up. Set in the woodlands of Tahoma, Lake Tahoe is on the doorstep and you’re just a short drive from the slopes of Homewood and Palisades. After ski sessions or lengthy hikes, the hot tub is ideal for soothing tired muscles, and the alfresco dining table encourages feasts in the sunshine. If you’re visiting in the winter months, the yard may not be accessible depending on snow levels, but we reckon you’ll be too cosy by the fire to mind.
