Perfect for a city break in the Eternal City, this apartment is set up for alfresco dining on the balcony and a taste of local life. While it isn’t in the historic centre, it’s just a short metro ride away, and the neighbourhood feels more residential, with eateries, cafés, and green spaces nearby. There’s room for four, with two guests sleeping on a sofa bed in the living area. It’s a compact setup, but the outdoor terrace adds extra space – ideal for meals or a quiet moment outside. With plenty to explore close by, it’s a good fit for those looking to stay just outside the crowds.

Home truths
At full occupancy, two guests will sleep on the click-clack sofa bed in the living area – we think it’s best suited to two children, or one adult and one child.
If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot for free. You'll need to request it in advance.
This home is outside Rome’s centre in a more residential area, but the metro makes it easy to get around.

About Trieste
North of Salario, and bordering the Villa Ada Gardens, Trieste feels a world away from the throngs of tourists on the Spanish Steps, which isn’t surprising given that it takes half an hour to travel between them on public transport. It’s a largely residential area, but with a distinct identity due to the modern architecture, much of it designed by the Art Nouveau architect, Gino Coppedè. Most visitors to Rome will never see a reason to visit Trieste, which means you get its wine bars and excellent restaurants to yourself.

Host
This home is managed by Gianluca
This home is managed by a business on behalf of its owner. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. As soon as we met him, we could tell that Gianluca was a bit of a perfectionist. He stays in contact with many of his former guests, and we were particularly touched by all their messages displayed in the apartment’s window.
