Hidden in the Cairngorms, this former Highland shooting lodge has been reimagined as a sprawling countryside escape. Expect grand proportions and old-world character – think carved wood, crackling fireplaces and rooms made for long, laughter-filled dinners. Outside, the estate stretches into wild, pine-fringed scenery, complete with a private nine-hole golf course, tennis court and easy access to the River Spey for keen anglers. There’s a hot tub waiting for post-hike soaks, while inside, a well-equipped kitchen and living areas balance a cosy traditional feel with modern comfort. When full you’ll be spread between the main house and the self-contained bothy – plus there’s even a shepherd’s hut tucked away in the grounds if you fancy bedding down a little closer to the Highland wilderness for the night.

Home truths
Well-behaved pets are welcome to accompany you during your stay. They're only allowed in rooms with hard floors and must stay out of the bedrooms.
While not all bedrooms and bathrooms are photographed, expect the style and quality to be consistent with the rest of the home.
This home is split between the main house, a self-contained bothy, and a separate shepherd’s hut – ideal for larger groups who appreciate a little extra privacy. Just note the shepherd’s hut is more rustic in style and doesn’t have running water.
Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay. There's free parking here.
Stag parties are not allowed at this home.

About The Cairngorms
Spanning over four and a half thousand square kilometres and with a population of just eighteen thousand, the UK’s largest national park, Cairngorms, is a haven for nature lovers and outdoor explorers. Without the buzz of endless traffic, wildlife thrives here all year round, and you can spot capercaillies, red squirrels and even wild deer – if you visit in late autumn, you may hear the thundering clash of locked...

Host
This home is managed by Oliver
This home is managed by a business on behalf of its owner. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Nearly twenty years ago, Oliver and his friend began curating the world's most unique and rustic getaways. Driven by their own unforgettable experience at a chateau, they have grown remarkably since then. Much like Plum, they believe in hand-picked luxury that doesn't break the bank.
