A twenty-minute stroll from both the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower, this Golden Triangle apartment could not be better placed for sightseeing. Alongside iconic landmarks, the 16th arrondissement is home to fantastic eateries, excellent shopping, and quintessentially Parisian cafes – all the best the city has to offer. There's also a lot to love about the apartment besides its location. It's set over the ground and lower-ground levels of a Haussmann-style building, and it fuses French character with contemporary design. The living space is a little snug, but the kitchen is pretty roomy. We adore the main bathroom – nothing beats a soak in the freestanding bath after a long day on your feet.

Home truths
At full capacity, two guests will sleep on a sofa bed in the living area.
The living area is a bit snug for six. We think this home is best for a group of four adults.
This home is spread across the ground and lower-ground floors, with a metal staircase dividing the different levels.
While we love the design of this home, it is lacking in natural light – particularly the rooms in the basement.
As is common in France, only one bathroom has a toilet. However, a separate WC is available.
The fireplaces are ornamental only.
Given the ground-floor setting, expect to hear some street noise at night.
If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot upon request.
Parking isn't provided, but you won't need a car in Paris. Instead of driving, we suggest exploring on foot or taking advantage of nearby public transportation – a metro station is a short walk away.

For most, it's a mandatory stop, if only to catch a glimpse of the monumental Arc de Triomphe which crowns the avenue and which was commissioned by Napoléon...
