Total privacy, panoramic Luberon views and a heated infinity pool — this is Provençal living done properly. Set in its own tiny hamlet just outside Lacoste, the house feels blissfully secluded, yet you’re minutes from hilltop villages, markets and excellent wineries. Inside, it’s all light, stone and quiet elegance. Two fireplaces anchor generous living spaces, while the contemporary kitchen opens onto wide terraces made for long lunches and even longer sunsets. Five air-conditioned bedrooms (each with its own bathroom) make it ideal for families or couples travelling together – togetherness when you want it, space when you don’t. Days drift between poolside lounging, boules in the garden and aperitifs under the pergola. In the Luberon, time slows down – and that’s rather the point.

Home truths

  • You’re in a wonderfully peaceful spot near Lacoste — which means a car is essential for restaurants, markets and exploring the wider Luberon.

  • The house is spread over multiple levels with terraces and steps throughout, so it may not suit anyone with significant mobility issues (though one bedroom is on the ground floor).

  • The infinity pool can be heated, but like most in Provence, the temperature depends on the weather – early and late season swims may feel brisk.

  • Some of the King beds can be made into twin beds.

  • A discreet guardian lives in a separate mazet at the entrance. He’s there to keep everything immaculate, but you’ll still have your privacy.

  • Once your booking is confirmed, your host will send you details on how to pay the security deposit.

  • End-of-stay cleaning, plus two intermediate cleanings on Monday and Thursday, are included with your stay.

About Provence

Provence’s pastoral landscapes are a French fantasy come true. Peaceful hills humming with cicadas, swathes of olive trees, colourful markets, secluded creeks, and scrublands perfumed with lavender are all evocative of this southern French idyll. It’s little wonder why Cezanne, Van Gogh, and Chagall all felt the pull to immortalise the region in art. But beyond its mouthwatering food and drink, sensory romance, and small-town serenity, it’s the region’s manifold...
