The pool doesn't sit behind this villa – it runs through the centre of it, a custom-lit channel of water flanked by fire bowls and tanning shelves that makes the whole courtyard glow after dark. Walls of glass dissolve the boundary between the living room and the pool, so whether you're inside or out, the water is always in view. When you're not swimming or dining beside it, there's a private pickleball court on site, and the Empire Polo Club nearby makes this a natural base for Coachella or Stagecoach weekends.
