The pool courtyard at this desert villa is something else – fire bowls flickering at the edges, LED-lit waterfalls catching the last of the light, and a sunken fire pit that becomes the natural gathering place once the evening cools. Inside, sixteen-foot ceilings and walls of glass dissolve the boundary between the living space and the courtyard, while the main bedroom opens directly onto the pool. Old Town La Quinta is close by for restaurants and cafes, and the Empire Polo Club keeps Coachella and Stagecoach festival weekends well within reach.
