This hilltop house boasts views of the Luberon valley from the terraced garden. Leisurely days can be filled lounging by the private pool, relaxing in the atrium overlooking the garden, or dining alfresco. The sleeping setup here may not suit everyone – one of the bedrooms is on a mezzanine level, semi-open to the bedroom below – but if that isn’t a dealbreaker, we think this country house is a great choice for a tranquil escape. Location-wise, you’re within walking distance of the picturesque village of Cabrieres d’Avignon, with popular Gordes a ten-minute drive away.

The swimming pool is on a different level to the house and is accessed via a stone path. The pool isn't fenced.
