Three to four blocks from the beach and right in the golf cart zone off 11th Street, this Port Aransas house is built for groups who want to make the most of the Texas coast. The lagoon-style pool – complete with a party-lit island – anchors the outdoor space, while a covered patio and outdoor shower make the daily beach-to-pool routine easy. Upstairs, a wide deck takes in sunrises over the beach and sunset views across the wetlands behind. The detached downstairs suite with its own entrance adds flexibility for larger groups or anyone who values a little separation.

Home truths
Bedroom three has a king-size bed plus an additional bunk-style single bed. We think this room works well for a family sharing with a child.
The downstairs suite is completely separate from the main house – you'll need to step outside each time you move between the suite and the rest of the home. It's a great option for guests who want privacy, but worth bearing in mind if you're travelling with young children or prefer to stay connected.
The pool is unheated, so how refreshing a dip feels will depend on the time of year and the weather during your visit.
If you're visiting between November and January, you'll find the home decorated for Christmas, including a Christmas tree.
Port Aransas is an island destination, so mosquitoes and other pests can be more noticeable at certain times of year. The home is treated by a professional pest control service every four to eight weeks.
