A log burner at the heart of the living room and a Chesterfield sofa nearby make this Welsh cottage the kind of place where slow evenings come naturally. The main bedroom, dressed with a 1920s French bed and antique pieces beneath original beams, carries a quiet charm, and the snug second bedroom is perfect for a younger guest. Outside, the patio faces the village green and opens to far-reaching valley views towards the River Tywi – and if you need a reason to linger longer, there's an outdoor bathtub for soaking it all in. Carreg Cennen Castle and the Brecon Beacons are within easy reach for days when the countryside calls.

Home truths
Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay. There are two open-air parking spots on the premises.
The second bedroom sits just off the main bedroom, which means anyone sleeping there will need to pass through the main bedroom to reach it. This bedroom is compact, and is best suited to one child.
The ceiling in some areas is on the low side. It might not be suitable for taller guests.
With only one bathroom between two bedrooms, mornings may require a little coordination – though the second bedroom does have its own built-in shower.

Walking trails meander over hills, through forests and along some of the longest...
