This Prati apartment is a distinctive place to come home to after a day in Rome. Two floor-to-ceiling murals – one a lush botanical scene in the living room, the other bold line art in the bedroom – give each room plenty of personality. A small kitchen is perfect for a quiet morning coffee before heading out. And what a base it is – Vatican City and Castel Sant'Angelo are minutes away on foot, while Cipro metro station is a three-minute walk, opening up the whole city.

The apartment is on the second floor of a building with no lift, so you'll be carrying luggage up the stairs on arrival and departure. It may not be the best fit for those with limited mobility.
The sofa bed in the living room sleeps two additional guests, making it suitable for up to four – though the apartment is compact, so it's most comfortable for two.
Parking isn't available. Rome's historic centre is well served by public transport, so we recommend leaving the car at home and using the metro – Cipro station is a three-minute walk away.

About Valle Aurelia
Valle Aurelia is directly behind the Vatican, but you’d never guess from the number of tourists. Perhaps the nickname, Valle dell’Inferno (Valley of Hell) is enough to put them off. Rest assured though, it’s not a comment on the place, rather a reference to the presence of enormous furnaces in the area, which were in use up until the 1920s. It was the heart of metalworking, clay firing and brickmaking in Rome for centuries, and this instilled a vibrant working-class character to the neighbourhood, which endures today.
