A centuries-old stone barn in the Grizedale Valley, surrounded by woodland and within earshot of Force Forge stream – this is the Lake District we love. Inside, oak beams arch over a kitchen and dining space built for slow evenings, while the main bedroom takes things further with a freestanding copper bath sitting within the room itself. A private patio puts you a few steps from the water, with red deer roaming nearby and Satterthwaite's local pub less than a mile away when the outside world calls.

About The Lake District
Poets and novelists have often escaped to the Lake District for a spot of inspiration. Famously, Wordsworth pondered about daffodils and clouds during his time here. The undulating hills are tracked with drystone walls while sheep graze, and farmsteads enjoy untouched beauty for miles around. England’s biggest lake, Windermere, cuts through a valley, sleek as glass and hosts a litany of cosy-pub-filled towns and water sports venues along its shores....
