Set in the village of Shilton, this 250-year-old cottage sits a five-minute drive from Burford and within easy reach of the wider Cotswolds. Inside, it keeps its character (think beams and an inglenook fireplace) but spreads out generously, with three separate living spaces – including a library and a sun-lit garden room. Upstairs, four bedrooms are split across two staircases, so it suits families or groups who don’t mind a slightly spread-out layout. The garden looks out over meadow and the village ford, with plenty of spots to sit, eat and stay put. A local pub is within walking distance, and you’ve got everything from wildlife parks to market towns nearby.

Host

This home is managed by Oliver

This home is managed by a business on behalf of its owner. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Nearly twenty years ago, Oliver and his friend began curating the world's most unique and rustic getaways. Driven by their own unforgettable experience at a chateau, they have grown remarkably since then. Much like Plum, they believe in hand-picked luxury that doesn't break the bank.

This home is nominated for the Plum Guide Award.
