Right in the middle of Alfama, this one puts you straight into Lisbon’s oldest neighbourhood. You’re around a ten-minute walk from the main waterfront square, with a metro stop nearby and trams within easy reach. Sé Cathedral and São Jorge Castle are both close by too, so you’re well placed for exploring on foot. The apartment itself is bright and easy to settle into, with enough space for a group and a layout that works well for families or friends. It’s comfortable and well located, which is what counts most here. Just bear in mind it’s on the second floor of a traditional building with no lift.

About Alfama
As Lisbon’s oldest neighbourhood, it’s not surprising that Alfama is also the corner of the city with the most character. Here, you’ll get an authentic taste of the real Portugal, away from the tourist-trodden trails of the centre. Unlike most of Lisbon, this area survived the famous 1755 earthquake, preserving an image of the old capital. Steep, cobbled streets are flanked with down-to-earth cafés, crumbling churches and intimate fado venues...
