Home truths
The villa sits on a narrow rural road that winds through the hills – part of what gives you the seclusion and unobstructed views, but worth knowing if you're driving a larger vehicle. This location is not walkable to town, so you'll want a car for every outing.
If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a high chair and cot – worth requesting in advance so everything is ready on arrival.
Bedroom three has two single beds and a sofa bed in the same room – a workable setup for children or flexible friends, but worth bearing in mind if you're allocating rooms for adults who'd prefer their own bed.
You'll enjoy complimentary tastings at select Sonoma County wineries, with six guests included per winery (four at MacRostie). Additional guests are welcome for the vineyard's standard tasting fee.
The lead guest must be at least 25 years old, and your host may ask to see a government-issued ID to confirm.
