Tucked between South Congress Avenue and Elizabeth Street Cafe, this Austin house delivers the kind of backyard that becomes the centre of your trip – a tiled pool shaded by oak trees, a generous deck lounge, ping pong, and bocce ball, all with rare views of the downtown skyline rising in the distance. Inside, two floors of industrial-edged living space keep large groups comfortable, with a second-floor game room and wet bar giving everyone room to spread out. A detached guesthouse adds a sixth bedroom and its own kitchen – ideal when a little breathing room goes a long way.

The pool is unheated, so water temperature will depend on the weather during your stay – worth keeping in mind if you're visiting outside the warmer months.
There are very few window treatments in the main living areas and some bedrooms, so expect a light-filled home with limited blackout options – if you're a light sleeper, it's worth packing an eye mask.
We recommend hiring a car for ease of getting around. The driveway fits three cars.
Your host can provide a cot and high chair for little ones upon request – just bring your own cot linen.
One of the bedrooms contains a double over double bunk bed.
