Perched above Saratoga Passage, this Whidbey Island house earns its place with views that stretch across Puget Sound to the Cascade Mountains. It's a view that inspired screenwriter Lewis John Carlino, and we can see why. Large windows in the living area and dining room frame passing boats, and French doors open onto an expansive deck where alfresco meals feel effortless. When the weather turns, a fireplace warms the front living room, and the garage game room offers ping-pong and card games for slower evenings. Langley Village – beaches, bookshops, and local restaurants – is just one mile away.

Home truths
At full capacity, two guests will sleep on single day beds – there's one in the loft, one in the den and one in the game room.
Despite the waterfront setting, this home has no direct beach access – the bluff position gives you the views without the shoreline.
The den fireplace is not currently operational. You can enjoy the fireplace in both the front living room and the game room instead.
The barbecue is only available between April and October.
The main road leading to the home is currently under construction. Detours are clearly marked, but muddy or uneven conditions are possible in wet weather – allow yourself extra time when arriving.
On some weekdays each month, you may hear loud jet noise from the naval air base on Whidbey Island. Training doesn't happen at weekends or on holidays, and the Navy typically publishes its schedule a week ahead – worth checking if peace and quiet is a priority.
The lead guest must be at least 21 years old.
