Perched on a hilltop above the La Jolla coastline, this house delivers the kind of Pacific views that stop you mid-sentence – ocean on the horizon from the living room, the terrace, even the bathtub. Evenings are best spent poolside as the light drops over the water, or at the alfresco dining terrace as the sky turns pink. La Jolla Cove and the village's restaurants and cafes are nearby when you're ready to venture out, but with views like these, leaving feels entirely optional.

The back balcony has no fence or railing barrier, so keep a close eye on young children and anyone who might be unsteady near the edge.
At full occupancy, you'll need to make use of two rollaway beds here. We think they're best suited to children.
If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair. You'll need to request them in advance.
This is a quiet residential neighbourhood with a strict noise ordinance in place, so this home works best for groups who prefer a relaxed pace. Amplified music outside is not permitted.
The driveway fits three cars, and space for one more is available in the larger garage. Street cleaning takes place on the second and fourth Thursday of each month, and cars parked on the west side of the street will be ticketed and towed – so if you're arriving by car, keep that in mind when planning where to park.
The main bathroom tub jets are currently non-operational.
