Floor-to-ceiling glass framing snow-capped Rocky Mountain peaks makes for a hard opener to top, and this Avon apartment leans into it fully – from the fire pit terrace to the bar, the mountains are always in view. Inside, a fireplace in the living space keeps evenings warm after a day on Beaver Creek Mountain, which you can access directly from the resort. When the slopes are done, the shared outdoor pool and hot tub are waiting, and on-site restaurants mean you barely need to venture further than the resort.

Home truths
This is a studio apartment, so you'll be living and sleeping in one space. At full occupancy, two guests will also sleep on the sofa bed – it's a setup that works for families, but might not be suitable if you're looking for more privacy.
If you're travelling with little ones, your host can arrange a cot and high chair. It's worth requesting these in advance to make sure everything is ready on arrival.
You won't find an oven here – though there is a hob. We think the kitchen is better suited to prepping lighter bites than large meals.
You'll have access to the on-site swimming pool, hot tub, and barbecue area here. They're shared with the building's other residents.
