A backyard pool and hot tub set the scene at this eight-bedroom Destin house, where sun loungers, a covered deck bar, and a barbecue patio make it easy to lose whole days outdoors. The two separate living rooms give large groups genuine breathing room, and with five cars fitting on-site, arriving together is hassle-free. James Lee Beach is a five-minute walk away, and Destin's famous sugar-white sands and emerald Gulf waters are close enough to make a morning swim entirely reasonable.

Home truths
The pool and hot tub share one heating system, so you can only run one at a time – either the pool or the hot tub, not both simultaneously. If switching between them matters to your group, it's worth planning ahead.
At full occupancy, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living area.
The swimming pool isn't fenced.
While the eighth bedroom and bathroom aren't photographed, expect the style and quality to be consistent with the rest of the home.
