String lights flicker through the pines on a sweeping deck made for long evenings around the fire pit, and when the group wants to move indoors, a games room stocked with shuffleboard, darts, and an arcade game keeps things lively well past dark. Forest light filters into the living area by day, while a second fireplace downstairs adds another reason to linger inside. Palisades Ski Resort, with over 6,000 feet of skiable terrain, is a short drive away, and downtown Tahoe City is just two miles down the road.
