That forest deck hot tub – soaking under a pine canopy as the sun drops behind the Sierra Nevada – sets this Truckee cabin apart from the moment you arrive. Inside, vaulted ceilings and an antler chandelier anchor the dining room, while a games room with a full bar and pool table keeps evenings lively. The main bedroom has its own fireplace for warming up after a day on the slopes, and world-class skiing is just minutes away, with Lake Tahoe reachable in under thirty minutes.

About Truckee
On the border of California and Nevada, Lake Tahoe is one of the largest bodies of water in the US. As you'd expect, it's an area of astounding beauty, but the lake has also made a name for itself as a centre for both winter sports and water sports, as well as hiking and cycling. The north shore is a bit quieter and more relaxed than the south. While there's still plenty to do (including the annual food and wine festival), you're unlikely to see crowds like you do in other parts of the region.
