Perched in Incline Village with Diamond Peak Ski Area a five-minute drive away, this house is a natural base for both winter ski trips and summer adventures on the Flume Trail. Inside, four en-suite bedrooms and a living area with a fireplace give groups room to spread out and regroup after a day in the mountains – the kitchen is set up for proper home cooking, and the in-unit laundry makes longer stays practical. The balcony, with its mountain views and alfresco seating, is an easy place to linger over morning coffee or wind down as the alpine air cools.

Home truths
This villa is on the third floor of a condominium building with no lift, so you'll be carrying luggage and ski gear up the stairs on every arrival and departure.
There's no air conditioning here, though there are ceiling fans.
Outdoor furniture and amenities are seasonal, available from Memorial Day to Labour Day – if you're visiting outside those dates, the balcony will be unfurnished.
If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a travel cot and arrange a high chair with at least twenty-four hours' notice. A high chair is not on-site by default, so it's worth requesting before you arrive.
You have two covered parking spaces reserved for this villa, plus access to an open community lot on a first-come, first-served basis – useful if you're arriving with more than two vehicles.

About Incline Village
On the border of California and Nevada, Lake Tahoe is one of the largest bodies of water in the US. As you'd expect, it's an area of astounding beauty, but the lake has also made a name for itself as a centre for both winter sports and water sports, as well as hiking and cycling. The north shore is a bit quieter and more relaxed than the south. While there's still plenty to do (including the annual food and wine festival), you're unlikely to see crowds like you do in other parts of the region.
