Perched above Gatlinburg with layered Smoky Mountain ridgelines stretching to the horizon, this house commits fully to the cabin experience – warm wood, a stone fireplace at the heart of the living room, and rocking chairs on the deck for whoever catches the morning mist first. Come evening, the mountain-facing hot tub and fire pit make it hard to call it a night. Upstairs, a vaulted game room with tall triangular windows, a pool table, arcade cabinets, and a pinball machine has a way of absorbing hours nobody planned to give it. Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a twenty-six-minute drive.

You're up the mountain, so everything – shops, restaurants, the national park entrance – requires a drive. The Gatlinburg strip is about ten minutes downhill, and we recommend having a car for the whole group for easy access to the area.
