Steps from Trestles Beach, one of Southern California's most celebrated surf breaks, this house is set up for life in and out of the water. Two self-contained units share outdoor space, a gear store stocked with surfboards, bikes fitted with surf racks, and beach chairs – making it as easy as possible to get out the door each morning. The upper unit catches ocean views from the living room and a private deck perfect for winding down at sunset, while the wraparound yard gives the lower unit its own breathing room. San Clemente Village is close by for boutiques and ocean-view dining when you want a change of scene.

We recommend hiring a car for ease of getting around. Parking is available on the premises.
Air conditioning is available via a mini-split unit in the living room of each unit – there's no central air, so the bedrooms rely on ceiling fans and natural ventilation.
At full occupancy, four guests will sleep on sofa beds in the living area.
The home sits close to a freeway, so you may notice some traffic noise – worth bearing in mind if you're a light sleeper or planning to spend time on the lower-level outdoor terrace.
