This home doesn't include access to any local recreation centre, and no passes are provided with your stay. If you're planning to use club or resort facilities nearby, you'll need to arrange those independently.
The outdoor furniture, seating, and barbecue are seasonal – available from Memorial Day through Labor Day (late May to early September). If you're visiting outside that window, outdoor dining won't be an option.
Bear country means specific waste disposal rules apply here. You'll need to use the designated bear box assigned to this home – using a neighbouring bear box or leaving rubbish outside carries a significant fine. If your assigned box is full, store any excess inside until you can dispose of it correctly.

About Truckee
On the border of California and Nevada, Lake Tahoe is one of the largest bodies of water in the US. As you'd expect, it's an area of astounding beauty, but the lake has also made a name for itself as a centre for both winter sports and water sports, as well as hiking and cycling. The north shore is a bit quieter and more relaxed than the south.
