Tucked among the evergreens of Whidbey Island, this woodland house is built for slowing down. Vaulted windows pull the forest inside, and a fireplace in the living room makes the cooler evenings comfortable. Outside, the deck invites alfresco meals over the barbecue, and an in-ground fire pit draws everyone together as dusk falls through the trees. Maxwelton Beach is a twenty-minute walk from the front door, while the Clinton ferry docks are just minutes away – keeping the mainland, and the rest of the island, well within reach.

Air conditioning is only available in the main living room – the bedrooms aren't cooled.
The fireplace and fire pit are ready to use, but firewood isn't provided – bring your own or plan to pick some up locally before you settle in.
Whidbey Island is home to a naval air base, so on some weekdays – and occasionally evenings – you may hear military flight training overhead. Weekends and holidays are training-free, and the Navy typically publishes its schedule a week in advance if you'd like to plan around it.
You'll have four driveway spaces, though the garage is not available for guest use.
The barbecue is propane-powered but put away during the winter months.
Please note that the maximum occupancy includes infants and babies.
