Set within 60 acres of private woodland, this former gamekeeper’s cottage has been transformed into a stylish yet cosy retreat. The snug and living room provide plenty of space for unwinding with a paperback from the bookcase, though if the sun makes an appearance, it’s all out into the garden for cups of tea by the pond or dunks in the plunge pool. If you’re in the mood to explore, the South Downs National Park is around a twenty-five-minute drive away for unspoilt country walks, while the Half Moon in Kirdford comes well recommended should you fancy a pub lunch.
