Waking up to Edinburgh Castle framed in a sash window is a hard thing to beat, and this Grassmarket apartment delivers exactly that – castle views from both the bedroom and living room. The cobbled streets below are lined with independent bars, cafes, and restaurants, and the Royal Mile, Victoria Street, and the castle itself are all within easy walking distance. The apartment is on the third floor with no lift, so you'll be climbing steps each time you arrive or head out. It might not be the best option for those with reduced mobility.
Grassmarket itself sits at the foot of a steep historic close, so expect a climb whenever you head up towards the Royal Mile or the castle.
While the large bed makes for a great night's sleep, it does feel a little big for the room. Space is limited, so we'd recommend travelling light.
Given the home's central spot, expect to hear some street noise throughout your stay.
Parking here can be tricky, so we recommend sticking to easily accessible public transport where possible.
