Ski in and out from this forest-wrapped chalet in Moonlight Basin, where a snowshoe path behind the home leads directly to the slopes and the Iron Horse and Six Shooter lifts bring you back. Inside, vaulted ceilings soar above a wood-burning fireplace in the great room – the kind of space that earns its keep on a long winter evening. After dark, the wraparound deck and private hot tub take over, with mountain views stretching out across the evergreens. Big Sky Resort is a six-minute drive, and Yellowstone National Park is reachable in around an hour.

While one of the bedrooms isn't photographed, expect the style and quality to be consistent with the rest of the home.
At full occupancy, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed on the upper level, and four will sleep in the king and double beds in the loft area sleeping space.
There is no air conditioning here, so summer stays will rely on natural ventilation from the mountain elevation.
Restaurants, shops, and resort facilities are a short drive away rather than on your doorstep – you'll want a car to make the most of what's nearby.
Garage parking is available for one vehicle, with an additional spot in the driveway – space for two cars in total. If you're arriving as a larger group in multiple vehicles, it's worth planning ahead.
A starter set of essentials – soap, paper products, dish and laundry detergent, towels, and similar basics – is provided on arrival. Once those run out, you'll need to pick up your own supplies.
